I've never been really great, let alone good at keeping a diary. I've tried numerous times and failed miserably. I've tried special journals, notebooks, pens, markers, typing emails to an online journal and even started a blog or two, to no avail.
Yet, I'm hoping this time will be different. This time a fire will be lit. You see, I know how important it is to be a model reader and write for my students. I KNOW this. I've read several blog posts and heard in more than one class, professional development, and even my PLC meetings how vital this should be as a part of our instructional methods. I do have a writer's notebook. I have stories, poems, lists, etc from over 10 years ago stored in it! Yet, I would honestly admit that I have shared it minimally with my students.
I'm hoping that to blog my thoughts will hold me more accountable with writing. I am such a voracious reader (see my shelf here: http://www.shelfari.com/bluepersuasion77)
I'm also hoping that this blog will lead me to be even more reflective of my teaching day and generate thoughts and progress for not only myself, but also my peers.
My only question that is still lingering is, "Who will proofread for me?" *One of my biggest pet peeves is finding those tiny errors seconds or minutes later! Good luck to me!
